"Yoga is a technology for arriving in this present moment."
—Donna Farhi
Yoga is also a highly effective path to improved strength, flexibility, and breathing.
Aside from these physical benefits, many people find yoga to simply feel so good because of its emphasis on being fully present. This focus is counter to what most of us experience daily as Western culture. We even multitask during other types of exercise—watching TV while on the treadmill, reading a book on the stationary bike, or trying to sort through a work-related problem while out for a run. Our often-frenetic activity is a symptom of the nearly lost art of being still and quiet within ourselves.

Yoga and Chiropractic
Whole Yoga Healthcare is co-located with a holistic chiropractic office. To us, this makes perfect sense for people who want to take control of their own well-being. Chiropractic techniques are nearly as ancient as yoga, and just as powerful for using the body’s own ability to heal itself. Yoga and pilates both focus on gentle but effective strengthening of the core muscles, which in turn support the spine. And a healthy spine is key to overall good health!
Whole Chiropractic Healthcare also has two licensed massage therapists on-site, so you can explore a variety of paths to wholeness.
You do not have to be a patient of Whole Chiropractic Healthcare to attend yoga or pilates classes at Whole Yoga Healthcare—everyone is welcome! Patients of Whole Chiropractic are certainly not required to attend classes, either, although many find that the strengthening and stretching they experience through yoga/pilates helps in their rehabilitation.
